JTF in Kano arrested a high profile sect leader, his wife and five children yesterday. The troops early morning raided Farawa quarters, a sprawling slum in Kumbotso Local Government area of the municipality and arrested the sect leader identified as Suleiman Mohammed who is suspected to hail from Ogbomosho, Oyo state, South West Nigeria.

BUHARI TINUBU MOVE TO REVIVE ALLIANCE
A meeting on Sunday between Buhari and Tinubu in Lagos was meant to revive alliance moves between the Action Congress of Nigeria and the Congress for Progressive Change, party officials told Daily Trust in Abuja yesterday.
Retired General Muhammadu Buhari visited ACN leader Bola Tinubu at his residence in Lagos, where they met behind closed doors.

BECKS: THE RICHEST OF THEM ALL!!
Former England captain David Beckham's success on the field and appeal to sponsors have made him an estimated fortune of £160 million pounds to put him top of the Sunday Times Sport Rich List.
Beckham, now 37 and playing for LA Galaxy, is one of 48 football players past and present in the list of the 100 richest current and former sportsmen in Britain and Ireland.
London-born Beckham hopes to make the Team GB squad to play in the Olympics in his home city this summer.
The Sunday Times also ranked Beckham 10th in its list of the world's richest sports figures, a group led by golfer Tiger Woods with an estimated £538m.
His endorsements with Adidas, H&M, Samsung and others, combined with his wage at LA Galaxy and career earnings from the game have seen him make the global top 10 for the first ever time.
Woods, who is still on course to be sport's first billionaire despite a £60m divorce and a drop in sponsorship income, was followed by German Formula One driver Michael Schumacher and former basketball player Michael Jordan.
Russian Maria Sharapova was the world's richest sportswoman, worth £55m. Sharapova, like Beckham, has augmented her earnings from sport with lucrative fashion and other endorsements.
No current British or Irish swimmer, cyclist or track and field athlete made the top 100, something that might change over the course of this Olympic year. There were no past or present sportswomen among the top 100 on the British and Irish list.
Not all the figures on the list are household names.
Behind Beckham in second spot was former rugby union player Paul Caddick, who now runs a property and construction company and is chairman of rugby league club Leeds Rhinos.

A perfect Stranger
I sat on the grass
Savouring the beauty that laid far ahead of me
I watched in awesome wonder
As the faint evening sun casts its soft rays
On the crystalline mountain
I sat there watching them:
Men and Ladies
Having their fair share of the beautiful evening
There was laughter, happiness and joy in the air
Yet, i sat there, lonely
Wishing i too like the other men had someone
I could cling to and savour the evening with
Wishing i could be there in their world.
Far gone into the reverie,
I was pleasantly jolted back by a sight ahead of me
Sitting directly under the crystalline mountain
And the sun casting its soft rays on her
Was the most beautiful woman i have ever set my eyes on
From afar, she seemed a queen waiting for her king
Her hair fell on her shoulder
Giving the picture of a waterfall
Her eyes…as she blinked them formed the picture of a rising firecracker.
For some moment
I was lost in the thought and vision of her tremendous beauty
I pinched myself, rose and wandered to her side
How easy it was to talk to her.
Her voice! Oh! That voice that sounded like the song of a bird
Got me hypnotized
I needed to hear how she laughs
Therefore, i made her laugh
God! It was like the melody of a pleasant music
That only angels can sing.
The glee in her eyes when she smiles/laughs
The movement of her hands when she talks
And her mesmerizing eyes will not stop tormenting me
Ah! I felt i have known her all my life
But she is a stranger!
Then He came
And respectfully led her away being his woman.
But her eyes won’t leave mine
As she went with him.
Of course she was my queen, and i her king
In the kingdom we created while we were together
Still seated on the grass
