BEYONCE'S FIRST PERFORMANCE AFTER BABY (IN PIX)

Beyonce's time out for motherhood has obviously not affected her stage performance. Its nine months since she's mounted the stage and when she did again, it’s with a big bang!

Showing off her post-baby curves in a showgirl-style, fringed bralet and tiny shorts, the 30-year-old wowed the sold-
out crowd on the first of a three-night stint at the Revel Resort & Casino in Atlantic City

Speaking to the 5,500 fans at the Ovation Hall in the Revel, she said: 'I gotta say, it feels so good to be back home on stage.'

However, she didn't bring up her new life as motherhood too often, except for a fleeting glimpse of Beyonce cradling her daughter in a video montage on the screen behind her.

Her sexy costumes were custom-made by London design house Ralph & Russo, who used 500,000 Swarovski Elements crystals to create the look.

"WHIZKID" SOLVES 350YR OLD PUZZLE

Nah! not the 'Pakurumo' whizkid. This is a mathematical genius. He is only 16 and has already made history. He solved a 350 year old puzzle set by Isaac Newton.

The schoolboy, from Dresden, Germany, solved two fundamental particle dynamics theories which physicists have previously been able to calculate only by using powerful computers.

His solutions mean that scientists can now calculate the flight path of a thrown ball and then predict how it will hit and bounce off a wall.
Shouryya only came across the problems during a school trip to Dresden University where professors claimed they were uncrackable.
'I just asked myself, 'Why not?',' explained Shouryya.
'I think it was just schoolboy naivety. I didn't believe there couldn't be a solution,' he added.

He regrets he is not as good in football as he is in math.

Well, i guess its possible to trade what you have for what you want...Maybe when he does we will have a successor for Messi!

EURO 2012: WHERE FRIENDS BECOME FOES

This is a very interesting piece that takes a look at teamates in
various leagues in Europe slugging it out against each other for
National pride and glory.

Enjoy:

After recently completing a thrilling season of club
football, many players across Europe have now turned
their thoughts to UEFA EURO 2012, the continental
tournament which takes place in Poland and Ukraine
and begins on 8 June.
Ten months of teamwork and camaraderie alongside
their team-mates will count for nothing when the 14th
edition of the European Championship kicks off,
however, particularly for those who will find themselves
on opposite sides for their countries.
The draw for the group stage, which took place in
December 2011, set up several heavyweight clashes for
the first round of fixtures, with Netherlands-Germany,
Spain-Italy and France-England chief among them.
Star players from Europe's biggest clubs will therefore
be pitched against one another from the outset of the
competition and friendship will have to be forgotten for
the sake of national pride. FIFA.com takes a look at
those who must end their allegiances for one month.

Robben against the rest
Germany against the Netherlands is a match which
needs little extra edge, as the two have been fierce
rivals since the 1974 FIFA World Cup™, when they
contested the Final. Johan Cruyff and Co took a first-
minute lead but still lost the showpiece and a mutual
antipathy has festered ever since.
Their next meeting, in Kharkiv on 13 June during the
second round of Group B fixtures, will see Bayern
Munich players feature heavily. The beaten UEFA
Champions League finalists could have as many as nine
representatives on the field, but one will be massively
outnumbered.
Netherlands winger Arjen Robben, who crucially missed
an extra-time penalty during Bayern's shoot-out defeat
by Chelsea, may be confused by the sight of his
domestic team-mates all playing for the opposition,
with Holger Badstuber, Jerome Boateng, Mario Gomez,
Toni Kroos, Philipp Lahm, Thomas Muller, Manuel Neuer
and Bastian Schweinsteiger in Germany's squad.
Robben will no doubt enjoy the challenge of scoring
against his defensive colleagues, which is a sentiment
likely to be shared elsewhere in the group by fellow
forwards Dirk Kuyt and Robin van Persie.
Kuyt will come up against Liverpool centre-back Daniel
Agger in the Denmark defence when the Dutch begin
their campaign on 9 June, while Van Persie could find
his efforts to continue a remarkable goalscoring season
blocked by Arsenal stopper Per Mertesacker.
The other Group B game on 9 June sees the Germans,
runners-up to Spain at EURO 2008, take on Portugal in
a match which will have a distinct Real Madrid
influence. Cristiano Ronaldo and Mesut Ozil will try to
dictate the tempo at either end, while Sami Khedira
could find himself battling with Fabio Coentrao and
Pepe.

Arsenal ties in Group A
Group A also has interesting connotations for Premier
League side Arsenal, with Lukasz Fabianski and
Wojciech Szczesny competing for the Poland No1
jersey. Whoever gets the nod in goal for the co-hosts
will be tasked with keeping out Czech Republic captain
and Gunners midfielder Tomas Rosicky.
Defending champions Spain against 2006 FIFA World
Cup winners Italy is an obvious highlight of the opening
round. The 10 June fixture will showcase a plethora of
the continent's best players and Manchester City duo
David Silva and Mario Balotelli are sure to be among
those deciding which team takes an early advantage in
Group C.
Having only finalised moves to Everton in January of
this year, midfielder Darron Gibson and striker Nikica
Jelavic have not had much time to form a relationship,
which might be for the best as they will face each other
during Republic of Ireland's first Group C encounter
against Croatia.

Familiar faces for France
Perhaps the group fixture which holds the most intrigue
in this regard is the opening Group D match between
France and England. As many as six City players, fresh
from being crowned Premier League champions, could
be on opposing sides come kick-off on 11 June. Gael
Clichy and Samir Nasri of Les Bleus will certainly
recognise Gareth Barry, Joe Hart, Joleon Lescott and
James Milner, should they be selected by Roy Hodgson.
It will be a similar story for Chelsea stars when the
Three Lions take on Laurent Blanc's men in Donetsk. If
Florent Malouda features for France he could come up
against Blues team-mates Gary Cahill, Ashley Cole,
Frank Lampard and John Terry just three weeks after
they all hoisted the Champions League trophy aloft.
As AC Milan ended the season without a major trophy,
two of their players travel to Poland and Ukraine hoping
to make amends with their national team. Zlatan
Ibrahimovic and Philippe Mexes will face each other
along the way, with the striker trying to get past the
defender when Sweden meet France on 19 June.

MEET NIGERIA'S MOST WANTED MAN

THE BBC has profiled the details of the leader of the dreaded BH. Read further:

The leader of the militant Islamist group
Boko Haram is said to be a fearless loner, a
complex, paradoxical man – part intellectual, part
gangster. Fondly called imam or leader by his
followers, Abubakar Muhammad Shekau was born
in Shekau village in Nigeria's north-eastern state
of Yobe. Some say he is 34 or 35, others that he
may be 43 – the uncertainty adds to the myths
surrounding Nigeria's most wanted man.
It is a chilling account of the man, who once said "I
enjoy killing anyone that God commands me to kill
– the way I enjoy killing chickens and rams," after a
bombing in Kano.
Mr Shekau is said to have met his predecessor in
Maiduguri, capital of Borno State and now
Boko Haram's headquarters, through a mutual
friend, Mamman Nur. Nigeria's authorities say Mr
Nur masterminded the August 2011 bombing of
the UN office complex in Nigeria's capital, Abuja.
All three were theology students – and Mr
Shekau was seen as the quietest and perhaps the
most radical of them.
"He hardly talks, he is fearless," says Ahmed
Salkida, a journalist with such good access to
Boko Haram that, at one stage, he was
suspected of being a member. He says he only
escaped summary execution by Maiduguri police
after an intelligence officer intervened. "He is one
of those who believes that you can sacrifice
anything for your belief," Mr Salkida says. Mr
Shekau is fluent in his native Kanuri, Hausa and
Arabic languages – he does not speak English.

THE BOOK THAT WILL SHAKE THE FOUNDATION OF CHRISTIANITY-IRAN

A leather-bound religious text, thought to date
from the fifth century but discovered only 12
years ago, will cause the collapse of Christianity
worldwide, Iran has claimed. The book, written on animal hide, was
confiscated during an anti-smuggling operation
in Turkey's Mediterranean region in 2000. Turkish authorities believe
it could be an
authentic version of the Gospel by Jesus's disciple
Barnabas, and an Iranian press report has
claimed that its contents will trigger Christianity's
downfall by proving that Islam is the final and
righteous religion.

SUPER EAGLES PUNISHED

After each game Super eagles usually gets a day off all trainning activities.

But this was not the case after the match against Peru. Keshi
cancelled the day off and called the players to trainning. You will
recall that Super eagles had earlier lost 1-0 to their Peruvian
counterpart in an international friendly.

Keshi said that considering how the opposition played in the first
half,the boys really didnt impress.

PAKISTANI DOCTOR JAILED FOR HELPING CIA FIND BIN LADEN

A Pakistani doctor accused of helping the CIA find Osama bin Laden has been jailed for 33 years for treason, television channels and a local government official said.

The official said Shakil Afridi was accused of running a fake vaccination campaign believed to have helped the American intelligence agency track bin Laden in a Pakistani town, where he was killed in a U.S. special forces raid last May.

The imprisonment is likely to anger ally Washington at a sensitive time, with both sides engaged in difficult talks over re-opening NATO supply routes to U.S.-led troops in Afghanistan.

U.S. officials had hoped Pakistan, a recipient of billions of dollars in American aid, would release Afridi, detained after the unilateral operation which killed bin Laden and strained ties with Islamabad.

In January, U.S. Defence Secretary Leon Panetta said in a television interview that Afridi and his team had been key in finding bin Laden.

Panetta described him as helpful but insisted the doctor had not committed treason or harmed Pakistan.

AIRFORCE ONE AIRFARE: $179,750 PER HOUR!

It is probably the most expensive in the world. And why not? Afterall
it has on board one of the most powerful men in the world(if not the
most powerful).

Here the full text of the report:

"It is unclear how the White House designates travel that is not
directly related to a governmental or political function because of
traditional reluctance to address this matter," the report said.
Vacations count as official travel.
Information about the cost of presidential flights is scarce,
according to the report. But earlier studies from Congress andthe
Government Accountability Office offer a glimpse of the cost of
several major trips in the past.
For example, a European trip in 1989 cost the Air Force $1 millionand
a trip to Hawaii in 1990 cost$1.5 million, according to a 1992 report
from a House committee on the civil service. The figures represented
just operational costs for the aircraft – without related expenses
such as food and lodging.
Extra costs add up quickly. These related costs for presidential trips
in 1998 totaled $42.8 million for Africa, $10.5 million for Chile and
$18.8 million for China, according to a GAO report.
Comparable information wasn't available for more recent trips, the
Congressional Research Service report says.

US SCHOLARS WARN OBAMA OVER BOKO HARAM

United States President, Mr. Barrack Obama has been warned over the
proposal of the United States Justice Department to designate Boko
Haram aforeign terror group.
In a letter addressed to Ms. Hillary Clinton, the US Secretary of
State, at the beginning of the week, 20 American scholars with a
special interest in Nigeria and broad expertise on African politics
warned the United States government not to categorise Boko Haram as a
foreign terrorist organisation.
The scholars, drawn from various universities across US, said that
such designation would internationalise the Boko Haram menace and
enhance its profile among Al-Qaeda and other global militant groups.
They wrote that "Boko Haram's recent tactics, including the use of
suicidebombers and improvised explosive devices, raise questions about
their foreign links."
"The network's focus has been overwhelmingly domestic, despite an
August 2011 attack on the United Nations office in Abuja."

THE VOICE OF MY HEART

Sometimes i question the reason behind our very existence. Do we
really live to die? Why did a two day old baby have to die? Why did he
come in the first day? To spend two days?

Someone once told me he couldn't fathom why he chose to be born in
Nigeria. Could we really have chosen where we were born? Sometimes i
wonder why those who work so hard earn so little. Someone once said
"the more you sweat the less you earn".

It baffles me how greedy people can be. How insensitive we can be to
others' needs, how uncaring we can be about our brothers' welfare. We
see and look the other way, we amass and gather only to surrender all
willingly or otherwise at death's feet.

There are things i yet do not understand about fate...who decides
it?where was it decided? The man who say he's destined to be forever
poor what was he doing when such fate was bestowed on him? Oh! Maybe
its a lottery kind of arrangement sha! Maybe you don't have a say what
fate you get.

There is little i understand about the way of the world. Why are our
wants unlimited? Why do another want crop up the instant one is met?
Are we made only to satisfy wants? I do not understand why some things
just don't want to be. You run at it,work at it,pray for it, you wish
for it, hope for it, do everything right to get it,yet it forever
eludes you.

Some are born into wealth, many create it, some steal it ,some chase it
for a lifetime, others stumble on it, many desire it, but only some
acquire it.

We wake, we work and sleep...then wake again and work then sleep
again...oblivious of our fading life. We chase, we run and strife, in
the end we find its only a vain shadow.

I have heard it a thousand times, but only now as i write do i truly
believe: a life lived for others is 'the life'.

US CONGRESS WANTS BOKO HARAM LISTED AS TERROR GROUP

The United States (US) Congress is stepping up pressure on the Barack
Obama administration to formally designate the Boko Haram sect, which
has alleged al-Qaeda links, as a "foreign terrorist organization".
Mr Scott Brown, a Republican senator from Massachusetts, wrote
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton late last week on the matter.
He urged Mrs Clinton to designate thesect, which has been linked to
700 killings in Nigeria in the past 18 months, as a terrorist
organisation under US law.
ON Sunday, US Representatives, Peter King and Patrick Meehan, chairmen
of the House Homeland Security Committee and its counterterrorism
subcommittee, released a letter they sent to Clinton last Friday,
suggestingthat the administration was moving too slowly on the matter.
King and Meehan cited a Reuters' report last week about how the
Justice Department earlier this year had urged the State Department to
apply the "foreign terrorist" designation to Boko Haram. The
congressmen suggested that by not doing so, the department was
"denying the United States intelligence and law enforcement
communities the tools they need to combat an al Qaeda-affiliated
terrorist organization.

the media. Hereunder is the statement culled from his website.

" Hello all my friends and fans,

Yesterday in my press conference in Cannes for Chinese 12 Zodiac I
said that this movie was my last big action movie.

Today I was shocked when I woke up to read all the news coverage that

CHELSEA WINS 2011/2012 CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

After a torturous 120 minutes of football Chelsea FC
claims this
season's Champions League title. This is Chelsea's
first CL title, and
they won it in style.
Bayern had everything going for them, they are
playing at their home
ground, has one of the best goalkeeper in the world a
fiery stike
force in Robben, Gomes and Ribery. I guess all these
was not enough to
clinch them the title even with a Chelsea team
missing the services of
their enigmatic captain John Terry who got the
marching order against
Barcelona during the semis.
Bayern had the most possession 64% to 56% at a
time, had the most
corners 16 to Chelsea's 1, had the most shot at goal.
But Chelsea is
destined to carry the day. A late Drogba header gave
the blues the
equalizer, Cech saved Robben's sloppy penalty
awarded Bayern after a
challenge on Ribery by Drogba at the early minutes
of extra time.
Nuer saved Mata's kick, but that wasnt enough as
Cech saved Olich's
and Shweinsteigger hit the wood work to compound
a luckless day for
Bayern.
Drogba sent Nuer the wrong way to give Chelsea
their first ever CL title.
Congratulations all true Blue fans!!
